Masters of Pediatric Dermatology Symposium
FEBRUARY 7, 2018
MIAMI BEACH, FL
The Masters of Pediatric Dermatology symposium is designed to meet the needs of pediatric dermatologists, pediatricians, family practitioners, dermatologists, nurses/nurse practitioners and residents in these programs.
STATEMENT OF NEED/PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The annual Masters of Pediatric Dermatology Symposium (MOPD) is the second largest and second oldest Pediatric Dermatology meeting in the US. The MOPD is a one-day session, held prior to each year's South Beach Symposium. The MOPD Symposium was initially developed 28 years ago to promote and advance education surrounding skin diseases & disorders in pediatric age groups, and to foster an exchange of information between physicians and health professionals interested in the field of pediatric dermatology. This year's Symposium will allow attendees to learn the latest treatment approaches, protocols, procedures, and tools needed to support children with dermatologic conditions, and ultimately provide better, more personalized care for this specific population of younger patients.
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Review appropriate therapies for psoriasis in children based on disease severity and available evidence
- Identify recent advances in pediatric atopic dermatitis knowledge and treatment
- Compare appropriate therapies for treatment of acne in children from infants to teenagers, based on recent guidelines and available evidence
- Discuss recent updates in pediatric dermatology including research, advances and therapies
