Dr. Saakshi Khattri is triple-board certified in dermatology, rheumatology and internal medicine; she is one of only a few physicians in the U.S. to hold this distinction. At Mount Sinai, Dr. Khattri leads the innovative Dermatology Service to Treat Systemic Diseases, which is a collaborative effort between dermatologists and rheumatologists working to treat rheumatologic diseases which generally involve multiple body systems; joints, muscles, ligaments, and skin. Her clinical focus is on inflammatory and autoimmune skin diseases, complex medical dermatology, the intersection of rheumatic and dermatologic disease, alopecia, acne, rosacea, and aesthetic and cosmetic dermatology, including chemical peels, botox, fillers, and energy-based devices and lasers. Dr. Khattri is active in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis research, conducting clinical trials and publishing papers and textbook chapters on both conditions. She also has research interests in scleroderma (also called systemic sclerosis) and morphea.
