Dr. is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic, surgical, and medical dermatology. She pursued advanced fellowship training in cosmetics, lasers, and Mohs micrographic surgery at SkinCare Physicians in Boston, MA, the longest established program of its kind in the nation. At SkinCare Physicians, Dr. Bonati was trained by internationally recognized procedural dermatology pioneers from Harvard, Dartmouth, and Brown University. She received her fellowship diploma from the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Bonati has co-authored numerous scientific papers in domestic and international peer-reviewed journals and served as an invited guest journal editor on an issue focusing on medical considerations for the female aesthetic patient. Dr. Bonati has participated in cutting-edge research and several clinical trials to bring new products to market. Her research and publications have included topics such as: state-of-the art laser technology for tattoo removal; laser treatment of acne scars, surgical scars, and rosacea; laser and soft tissue filler safety; cellulite treatment; microneedling radiofrequency for skin tightening; microneedling plus topical skin care for wrinkle reduction; best practices for treating young cosmetic patients; best practices for reducing procedural pain; transgender aesthetics; homeopathic arnica; the use of retinoids for acne; and seborrheic keratoses.
