Dr. Jose Lutzky is Director of Cutaneous Oncology and Leader of the Cutaneous Oncology Site disease Group at the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami, Florida . He has been previously the Melanoma Program director and Chair of Cancer Research at Mount Sinai Cancer Center in Miami Beach, Florida. Dr. Lutzky graduated from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul Medical School, Brazil in 1980 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center followed by a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Columbia University. He was on the faculty of University of California, Irvine until 1994 when he relocated Miame. His main interest is the search for new treatments for melanoma and other cutaneous and ocular malignancies.
