Dr. Micali is professor of dermatology at the University of Catania in Italy, and has held frequent and longstanding scientific collaborations with several universities in the U.S., including the University of Illinois, Northwestern University, New Jersey University, and Miami University. These collaborations have led to the publication of several papers and international textbooks. His main areas of interest include acne, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, noninvasive techniques, and their applications in both dermatology and male genital disorders.
Dr. Micali is chair of the Scientific Committee and president of Giornate di Terapia in Dermovenereologia, an important national congress held every other year in Catania, which involves many prominent Italian academics along with numerous international experts in the field of dermatology. Dr. Micali’s scientific activity includes authoring 264 original articles in international, peer-reviewed journals and editing 20 texts on various subjects in dermatology.
