About

Dr. Hruza is adjunct professor of dermatology at St. Louis University. He received his medical degree from New York University, MBA from Washington University and completed his dermatology residency at New York University Medical Center followed by a laser surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School and a Mohs and dermatologic surgery fellowship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before his current position he was an associate professor of dermatology, surgery and otolaryngology and director of dermatologic surgery training at Washington University in St. Louis. He has trained 21 Mohs surgery fellows.

Dr. Hruza serves on four dermatology journal editorial boards and as assistant editor of Dermatologic Surgery and formerly as assistant editor of the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology and section editor of the Archives of Dermatology. He has served on the Association of Academic Dermatologic Surgeons, the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), American College of Mohs Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), Missouri State Medical Association (MSMA), AAAHC and St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society Boards of Directors, as Treasurer of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) and MSMA and as President of ASDS, ASLMS and St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society. He currently serves on the ASLMS Board of Directors, as President-elect of MSMA and as President of the AAD. He has contributed more than 150 publications to the medical literature including four textbooks on laser surgery and has lectured on laser and dermatologic surgery on five continents.
