About

Elena Pope, MD is an academic pediatrician with over 15 years of specialist expertise in pediatric skin disorders. She has been involved in all aspects of clinical and educational research pertaining to these conditions. Dr. Pope is the Head of Dermatology, Pediatric Medicine Division at the Hospital for Sick Children, corporately branded as SickKids, in Canada. She holds a special interest in rare, orphan diseases that require team collaboration and innovative clinical approaches. Dr. Pope has been key in the setting up of specialized clinics for rare vascular tumors, epidermolysis bullosa, genodermatoses, morphea, and cutaneous lymphoma. She is involved in teaching at all levels and heavily invested in research stemming from her clinical interests.
