Dr. Armostrong is associate dean of Clinical Research at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine, where she also serves as vice chair and director of Clinical Trials and Outcomes Research, and as director of the Psoriasis Program.
As director of Clinical Research for the Southern California Clinical and Translational Research Institute, Dr. Armstrong has particular interest on appropriate use of systemic agents, comparative effectiveness research, technology-enabled healthcare delivery, and comorbidities associated with inflammatory skin diseases.
Dr. Armstrong investigates how new therapies impact patients’ disease states, quality of life, and their access to medical care, and how technology-enabled health care delivery can be applied to chronic dermatological disease management. She has led or collaborated on over 120 studies, authored over 150 peer-reviewed scientific publications, and edited the pharmacology textbook “Principles of Pharmacology.”
