Dermatology on the Frontlines

Medical training for primary care professionals and frontline practitioners typically does not cover the myriad of dermatologic conditions that will be seen in practice. Due to certain patients’ lack of access to a dermatologist or lack of awareness of their dermatologic condition, a primary care practitioner, family medicine or internal medicine physician is commonly faced with the expectation of the diagnoses and treatment of several of these skin conditions.

Join us for a program which will cover the most relevant dermatology topics for frontline practitioners, how to manage these different conditions that present themselves regularly and prepare you for diagnosing infrequent conditions and when to refer those out to a specialist.

Derm on the Frontlines is an 8-hour bootcamp split into two days designed to educate primary care physicians on how to recognize symptoms, and then either treat or refer patients with skin disorders. This program will cover the most relevant topics for PCPs including common skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne, viral and fungal infections, cutaneous oncology, and coding and billing. With a panel of experts, multiple patient cases, and interactive questions to test your knowledge, participants can gain the skills and confidence to better care for patients with skin conditions, whether they pursue treatment or referral to a specialist.
