Hands-On Cadaver: Full-Face Surgical Dissection and Injection Techniques for Non-Invasive Facial and Hand Rejuvenation

Activity Overview

This course offers in-depth facial anatomy instruction and comprehensive training in botulinum neurotoxin and dermal filler injection techniques. The human cadaver facial dissection workshop allows participants to see and understand anatomic structures. Participants will inject botulinum neurotoxin and dermal filler with formal instruction of faculty.

Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the needs of physicians, nurses and professional staff members of medical practices specializing in dermatology, plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery and other dermatologic medical procedures.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review the efficacy and safety of non-invasive injectable agents that are currently available for facial rejuvenation, and their injection techniques.
  • Apply the appropriate injectable agent or non-invasive procedure based on patients’ facial anatomy, agent properties, and appropriate injection technique, in order to treat different areas of the face and targeted planar depths.
  • Interpret the efficacy and safety of currently approved fillers for dorsal hand augmentation, and their appropriate injection techniques
  • Select appropriate treatment interventions using dermal fillers for dorsal hand volume correction based on the latest evidence for current and new agents, appropriate injection techniques, and patient-specific characteristics.
