About

Dr. McMichael is Professor of Dermatology and Chair of the Department of Dermatology at Wake Forest School of Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include skin, hair, nail, and scalp disorders, and considerations for patients with skin of color. She has published more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals and delivered over 250 lectures on dermatological topics including acne, melasma, hyperpigmentation, hair loss, psoriasis and eczema.

For more than 25 years, Dr. McMichael has been contributing to the Dermatology Department at Wake Forest through her research, teaching and clinical pursuits. In her time away from her medical practice, Dr. McMichael spends time traveling with her family.
