SBS 2021 Poster Board Abstract Submission Guidelines

Who Can Submit

South Beach Symposium welcomes submissions from pharmaceutical companies, researchers and technology providers. Abstracts should be scientific, original and noncommercial in nature, and should address cutting-edge research, experiments, new techniques, processes or procedures. Authors may include photographs, charts, or diagrams to support the research.

Submission Guidelines

Abstracts for poster entries must be submitted by January 15, 2021 and can only be accepted electronically via email. Abstracts must be fewer than 400 words and adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Organization: The body of the abstract should be organized into the following six sections:
    (1) Title, (2) Synopsis, (3) Objective/Purpose, (4) Methods, (5) Results, and (6) Conclusion
  • Avoid Commercialism: No trade names should be used for drugs, devices, and/or instrumentation including lasers. Any medications or other substances referred to in the materials must be identified by their scientific names only.
  • Disclosure: All authors must disclose any financial relationships – this includes lead and secondary authors.

Poster Preparation:

Posters should be no larger than 4 feet high x 8 feet wide. The pin boards that the posters will be mounted on are 4 feet high x 8 feet wide, so we suggest your poster is made smaller than those dimensions to allow for easy pinning.

Poster Mounting and Display Times:

Posters must be mounted on the first day of the meeting, Thursday, February 4, between 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. The posters will be set up in the foyer of the Americana Ballroom on the lobby level of the Loews Miami Beach Hotel.

Posters must remain displayed until Saturday, February 6th at 5:00 pm. If the poster is not taken down by Saturday at 5:00 pm, we will discard the poster so please take it down if you would like to save the poster.

There is no official poster review session and we do not ask that you be present. The posters will be on display throughout the weekend for meeting attendees to view at their leisure. Please ensure that your poster is mounted on the correct poster board which will be numbered for your convenience.

Abstract Submission Fee

All applications must be accompanied by a mandatory non-refundable $2,000 fee per abstract submission. Abstracts without this fee will NOT be accepted.
